AL Player of the Week: Kendrys Morales – Royals

The Kansas City Royals DH Kendrys Morales earns our weekly honor as he receives our Player of the Week award spanning June 27-July 3.
During his hot week, Morales batted .577 (15 for 26), with six runs scored, three doubles, four homes runs, and 10 RBI’s.
The Cuban native is on pace to have one of his better seasons since 2009, when he batted .306, launching 34 home runs, and driving in 108 runs. In 2015, he came close as he batted .290, with 22 home runs and 106 RBI’s.
On July 3rd, Morales had his eight game hitting streak snapped, tying the longest streak so far this season. As of July 4th games, the designated hitter is batting .264, with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs.
