ALCS Game 4 Preview: Royals At Blue Jays

The Kansas City Royals had a two game lead in the ALCS when they traveled to the Rogers Centre for Game 3 but a rough outing by Johnny Cueto and a rally just a little too late wasn’t enough to get by the Toronto Blue Jays 11-8, as they series is now 2-1. With Game 4 looming, here is what we know:

 When: Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 4:00pm

Where: Rogers Centre

The Matchup:

RHP Chris Young will take the start for Kansas City, making his second postseason appearance of 2015. His last was in Game 1 of the ALDS in which he pitched four innings allowing just one  run. Young has pitched just once against the Blue Jays this season, a six inning outing, allowing three runs. The 36 year old  went 11-6 this season in 18 starts, 34 appearances in all, with a 3.06 ERA.

RHP R.A. Dickey, a former teammate of Young will start for the Jays. Dickey has started once this postseason in Game 4 of the divisional series against the Rangers and although was quite solid, was taken out after just four and two third innings, allowing just one run, causing a few eyebrows to raise in question of this decision by Toronto. The 40 year old faced the Royals towards the end of the summer, going seven innings, with no runs allowed.
