Arizona Fall League Rosters Include Top MLB Talent

As the Minor League season has come to a close and the Major Leagues are headed toward the post-season, it’s time for some of the best minor leaguers in the country to make their way to Winter League play around the entire world. The Arizona Fall League is one of the biggest winter leagues and alumni include some of the biggest names in the MLB right now such as: Mark Teixeira, Andrew McCutchen, Matt Holliday, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Dustin Pedroia, and young stars such as Kris Bryant, Nolan Arenado, Greg Bird and Sam Fuld among others.

Each Fall League team has some of the best minor leaguers from five different organizations. Games will take place from October 13th until November 19th with the Championship Game taking place on November 21st. The top performers of the Fall League will also be selected to take place in the Fall Stars Game on November 7.

Below is a list of the organizations that will be on each Fall League team:

Glendale Desert DogsChicago White Sox, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates

Mesa Solar Sox- Chicago Cubs, LA Angels, Miami Marlins, Oakland A’s, Tampa Bay Rays

Peoria Javelinas- Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles,  Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners

Salt River Rafters- Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays, Washington Nationals

Surprise SaguarosKansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers

Scottsdale ScorpionsBoston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants

The 2015 season will be the 24th for the Arizona Fall League and this year’s rosters are packed with some of the best talent in the business  including nine players from the Top 100 prospects in all of baseball. Some of the most interesting prospects that will definitely be worth watching include the New York Yankees’ catcher Gary Sanchez, Cleveland Indians’ outfielder Bradley Zimmer, Baltimore Orioles’ outfielder Mike Yastrzemski, Pittsburgh Pirates’ outfielder Austin Meadows, Oakland A’s Lefty Sean Manaea, Philadelphia Phillies’ shortstop J.P. Crawford, Houston Astros’ first baseman A.J. Reed, Boston Red Sox first baseman Sam Travis, New York Mets’ infielders Dominic Smith and Gavin Cecchini, just to name a few.
