Astros Promote Top Prospect Carlos Correa To Triple-A
- Updated: May 11, 2015
The Houston Astros have a gem on their hands and on Monday they took a step closer to promoting him to the big club as Carlos Correa was sent to Triple-A Fresno Grizzeles.
Correa has only been on fire since the start of the season with Double-A Corpus Christie Hooks, as he is hitting .385, with seven home runs and 32 RBI’s, 15 stolen bases in just 29 games. In April he batted .385, ( 30 for 78) and now in May as of Monday’s promotion he is batting .385 (15 for 39). Just a torrid start to his 2015 season.
Now Correa gets a chance to continue showcasing his skills with an opportunity to reach the majors possibly in the near future, especially with Jed Lowrie out until at least the all star break. Correa will indeed be a great addition to an already talented Astros roster.
#Astros officially promote SS Carlos Correa to the Triple A @FresnoGrizzlies. He will join the club tomorrow in Albuquerque.
