Baseball Bahamas – Where The Next Stars of The Game Are Born.
Just a short introduction of myself.
My name is Jeffrey Francis or Jeff Francis, and I own the website, Baseball Bahamas where I write about the minor league baseball players from my beautiful island in the Caribbean.
To begin with, at the age of 18 years old, I started coaching this wonderful game of baseball. In the first place, I had a love for the game from my childhood. As a rule, I started listening to games in the late ’60s out of Miami, Florida. As a result, in the early ’70s, I started playing in various leagues locally, right up to the premier senior league. Furthermore, this league is where almost all of our minor leaguers have played.
In 1982, I was invited to a three-day tryout with the New York Yankees in Hollywood, Florida.
My love for the game has brought me to follow the future minor league stars from our homeland. Plus, to giving them the platform they deserve.
First, I am thankful to Legends on Deck for providing this platform, which will allow me to share our active Bahamian minor league ballplayers and their 2018 achievements. Next, I will also love to follow up with an end of year review on all of the players.
However, I am looking forward to sharing and truly introducing the baseball players to the world and the country where they are from.
Get ready, fans; I will be introducing to you some fun-loving kids from the 242 with awesome personalities and friendly smiles.
