Over the past two minor league seasons, Buxton had been hampered by injuries that kept him off the field, but the 2015 season would be different as he appeared in 59 of the 61 games Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts have played so for this season.
Prior to his promotion, the top outfield prospect was batting .283, with six home runs, 37 RBI, 26 walks and 20 stolen bases.
Now Buxton gets his opportunity to make a splash as other top prospects have done so far this season.
More to come from Buxton’s debut.
