Cardinals Receive Moss From Tribe For Top Prospect

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Cleveland Indians have agreed on a trade that will send Brandon Moss to the Cards and the Tribe will receive highly touted pitching prospect Rob Kaminsky.

Moss, a nine year MLB vet, has played for five different teams over his career, taking him from American League to the National League and back over the span.  In 2015 so far with Cleveland, he is batting .217, with  15 home runs and 50 RBIs in 337 at bats.

Kaminsky, was 1st round pick (28th overall) for the Cardinals in 2013 and in his brief three year minor league career, he is 14-10, with a 2.15 ERA, starting 40 of the 43 games he has appeared in.  Currently is in teh Florida State League with the Palm Beach Cardinals and is 6-5, with a 2.09 ERA in 17 starts.

Cardinals Team Note:

On Wednesday, Matt Holliday pulled up laming running to first base and suffered a right quad strain.  He is expected to be re-evaluated on Thursday.
