The Chicago Cubs are running on all cylinders in 2016, as they own the best record in the majors and continue to plow through the league. Can this be the year they finally win the elusive World Series Championship?
Well even though a definite prediction will be hard to say, one thing is for certain, Kris Bryant is having a season to remember.
On Monday against the Cincinnati Reds, Bryant had an epic game where he recorded five hits, while launching three majestic shots out of the park. Each home run was a no-doubter, as the balls screamed off the bat and into the stands in seconds. Bryant was actually a triple and single away from the cycle, as he finished the game 5 for 5, with four runs scored, two doubles, and six RBIs to go along with his three round trippers.
This season, he is on pace to smash his 2015 numbers when he hit .275, with 26 home runs and 99 RBI’s. June is almost done and the halfway mark of the season is a few weeks away, and Bryant has 21 home runs and 57 RBI’s, so clearly this will be his best season in the majors and it could be topped off with a ring. Crazier things have happened especially if you are a Cubs fan.
