D-Backs Sign Pollock, Add Clippard

The Arizona Diamondbacks and outfielder A.J. Pollock avoid arbitration and agree on a 2-year deal worth approximately $10.25 million.
Pollock, 28, who is entering his fifth season with the D-Backs, hit .315, with 39 doubles, 20 home runs, and 76 RBI’s in 157 games in 2015.
The D-Backs also signed free agent righty Tyler Clippard to a 2-year deal worth $12.25 Million. Clippard pitched with the A’s and Mets in 2015 and was apart of the Mets surge to a World Series appearance against the Kansas City Royals. Combined in the regular season he was 5-4, with a 2.92 ERA in 69 games.
