The Blue Jays and reigning American League MVP Josh Donaldson agree on a $29 Million/2-year contract, which also helps the Jays to avoid an arbitration hearing.
Toronto was offering Donaldson $11.35 million for the 2016 season, while Donaldson was requesting $11.8 Million.
Donaldson, 30, will be entering his second season in Toronto. In 2015, the AL MVP batted .297, with 41 doubles, 41 home runs, and 123 RBI’s in 158 games.
