FSL Game of The Week: Marauders Snap Losing Streak, Beat Threshers 5-1

The Bradenton Marauders snapped their three game losing streak, after defeating the Clearwater Threshers 5-1, improving to 9-3.  With the loss, the Threshers dropped to 8-4.

Marauders starter Dario Agrazal, earned his first victory of the season, after he tossed six innings, allowing one run on five hits, no walks and struck out five. His counterpart, Threshers starter Blake Quinn took the loss, giving up four runs on five hits, with three walks and two strikeouts in his five innings of work.

In the bottom of the first, Bradenton took the early 1-0 lead, when Cole Tucker scored ahead of a Logan Hill RBI single.

In the top of the second, the Threshers tied the game at 1-1. Deivi Grullon led off the inning with a double, then scored ahead of a sac fly off the bat of Drew Stankiewicz.

Bradenton, then re-took the lead for good in the bottom of the frame, scoring three runs highlighted by an RBI ground out from Alfredo Reyes, and a 2-RBI single from Mitchell Tolman. They added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth on a single from Will Craig scoring Tucker with their fifth run of the game.
