Game Of The Week: Indians’ RHP Plutko Gets Promotion



In Adam Plutko‘s last appearance with the Class-A Advanced Lynchburg Hillcats last week he worked seven nearly flawless innings of just one hit ball, walking just two batters and fanning an impressive ten batters.

That performance along with his previous seven starts for the Hillcats where in total, he had a 4-2 record and a solid 1.27 ERA. In his 49.2 innings of work on the mound, he struck out forty-seven batters and allowed just seven runs while walking only five.

After his May 20th performance, he was promoted to the Double-A Akron RubberDucks, he has yet to make his debut.

Plutko was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 2013 MLB Draft in the eleventh round while playing at UCLA. The twenty-three year old  made his professional baseball debut in 2014 playing for both the Lake County Captains and then the Hillcats. In 2014 he combined for a 4.03 ERA along with a 7-10 record.
