Game Of The Week: Manny Machado’s Streak Extends To 14

GOW4

This week’s edition of the “Game of the Week” at Legends on Deck is focusing on the American League East Leading Baltimore Orioles as they take on the Kansas City Royals of the American League Central.

Although this series won’t start until Friday evening at Kauffman Stadium, let’s take a look at one of the stars of the Orioles’, their young All-Star third baseman Manny Machado and his performance so far this season.

The O’s have gotten off to a hot start this season by going 7-0, and although they have notched a few losses since then, many of their victories are due in part to offensive surges by their stars Chris Davis, Mark Trumbo and of course Machado.

Machado currently has a fourteen game hitting streak, and this early in the season means he has reached base in every game that the Baltimore Orioles have played so far in 2016. He is currently hitting .397 with five homers and 8 RBIs and a total of twenty-two hits and slugging .796.

Although the Major League season has a very long way to go with over a hundred regular season games still to play, this is a very good way to start the season both for Machado and his team.
