Legends On Deck

It’s Minor League Opening Day

Finally the the minor leagues will have their Opening Day on Thursday with a 120 teams playing 60 games across the country and there is a lot of excitement in the air surrounding all the teams and levels.

We all got a glimpse during Spring Training of the future stars especially with the likes of Cubs Phenom Kris Bryant, and hopefully we will get a full season out of the Twins top prospect Byron Buxton. Added to the mix now is when will the Red Sox new Cuban star, Yoan Moncada grace Fenway Park, or will the Mets top pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard perform as advertised. But the main thing most fans probably are looking forward to this season is which young star will make his debut first and who will win the prestigious Rookie of the Year Award.

Many questions for a new season of baseball and it all starts today for most of the major league affiliates and the names above are just a few of the thousands of young ball players that will be suiting up today to start another season of minor league baseball. Exciting times all around baseball.

We here at Legends on Deck are very excited as well about the upcoming minor league season, so follow us as we will be covering a lot of games from Triple A to Class A, keeping our readers up to date with what is going on with the prospects and other minor leaguers throughout the summer.

A new season filled with great opportunities is upon us. Play Ball!
