Minor League 2014 Free Agent Signings

Just like the Major League free agents, there are those minor league players that have become eligible for free agency and have either resigned with their 2014 team or signed on to take their talents with a organization.

While looking at the list, two names stood out to me as players still in the game hoping to make it back to the show.

Summary: Marcum’s last outing in the majors came on a July 6, 2013 loss to the Brewers. After which he had to undergo season ending surgery on his right shoulder. In the winter of 2013, he signed with the Cleveland Indians and returned to the mound in a minor league game in August 2014.

Contract: Re-signed with Cleveland Indians and assigned to their Triple-A affiliate Columbus Clippers.
