mlb tm

On Wednesday, I saw an interesting stat on MLB.com; on Tuesday, all 15 home teams won their game on the same day, which is the first time in league’s history. According to Elias Sports Bureau, 12 home team won on the same day on May 23, 1914.

That is an amazing feat considering there is no way of even predicting when it would happen.

The teams included are: the Blue Jays, Rays, Indians, Royals, White Sox, Twins and Mariners and in the National League, the Mets, Marlins, Cubs, Cardinals, D-Backs, Padres, Dodgers and Giants.

Toronto 4, Oakland 2

Blue Jays won their 9th straight game.

Rays scored two runs late to shut out the Braves, and win their 3rd straight game.

Cleveland 5, New York 4 – 16 Inn

Indians failed to hold on to an early 2-0 lead over the Yankees and the game went into extras tied at 2-2. In the 10th, the Yankees took a 4-2 lead, and the Indians responded with two more and then in the 16th inning they scored the winning run. Took extra time to be apart of history.
