MLB To Implement A “Pitch Clock” In The Minors

Reported on Thursday by Fox Sports, Major League owners have decided to implement a “Pitch Clock” starting with the Double-A and Triple-A levels of the minors.

Baseball has been looking for ways to speed up the game and last September a committee was formed to look at ways to get this done. The change to the minors will not affect any big league games in 2015.

A pitch clock was used during the Arizona Fall League where pitchers had 20 seconds to get set on the rubber. The minors will have the same enacted for their pitchers with other changes looked to also be added.

More to come on this as it becomes available.
