- Updated: April 3, 2015
In the bottom of the fifth inning against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Yasiel Puig and second baseman Howie Kendrick collided on a fly ball hit by Mike Trout that landed between the two for a triple.
Puig took the worse of the scary collision as he was hit on the chin by Kendrick’s left elbow. Puig remained down for a moment until Dodgers trainer could attend to him. He was removed from the game, but MLB.com reported that team doctors indicated there was no injury suffered.
