Furcal’s Bid To Return To Majors In Jeopardy
- Updated: December 29, 2014

As reported by Dionisio Soldevila of ESPN Deportes over the weekend, Rafael Furcal suffered a torn hamstring while playing in the Dominican Winter League. The veteran shortstop last played a full season in 2012 when he was an All-Star with the St. Louis Cardinals.
In 2013, Furcal missed the entire season while recovering from Tommy John surgery and was limited in 2014 to only nine games with the Miami Marlins due to a strained hamstring.
