Rains Wash Away All But One Florida State League Game

With storms popping up all over Florida on Wednesday, only one game was able to be completed.  The St. Lucie Mets and the Bradenton Marauders were able to play game three of their four game series, with the Mets doubling up the Marauders 8-4.

Bradenton jumped on the board with a run in the bottom of the first inning on a sac fl from Logan Hill, scoring Cole Tucker.

The Mets answered back with two in the second and one in the third, after Nick Sergakis hit a two-run home run and John Mora added a single shot.

The Marauders pulled within one with two runs in the bottom of the third, but wouldn’t get any closer.

St. Lucie pulled away with five in the top of the fifth inning, highlighted by a home run from Dale Burdick, RBI double by Jhoan Urena, and an RBI single from Wuilmer Becerra.

With the vcictory the Mets improved to 22-25, and with the loss the Marauders dropped to 28-19.

The final game of the series is scheduled to be played on Thursday with first pitch set for 6:30 pm ET.
