Boston Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz left the Friday’s game against the New York Yankees in the top of the fourth inning with right elbow stiffness.
Buchholz threw a pitch to Stephen Drew with two men on and two outs, and upon returning to the mound, he summoned catcher Sandy Leon to the mound.
According to manager John Farrell during the post-game press conference, Buchholz is experiencing tightness in the elbow area and will have an MRI to see the extent of the injury.
