Midwest League-Championship Series Game 1
Great Lakes Loons 6 Clinton LumberKings 16
The Clinton LumberKings took a big win in the first game of the Midwest League Championship series on Wednesday night as they defeated the Great Lakes Loons 16-6. The LumberKings were down 5-3 entering the bottom of the fourth and then an offensive explosion which included an eight run inning gave Clinton the stamina they needed to charge forward. Clinton also had two players, Rayder Ascanio and Chris Marsical, who were both a homerun shy of the cycle. The two will meet again for the second of the best of five game series on Thursday night at Ashford University Field.
