There’s A Party In Chicago, Cubs Win!! Advance To NLCS

The mighty St. Louis Cardinals have been taken down by the young and confident Chicago Cubs 8-6 in Game four of the NLDS.
The dream is alive for Chicago as they advance to the NLCS and now await the winners of the other NLDS game between the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers.
In the top of the first, the Cardinals took an early 2-0 lead as they tried to keep their season alive and force a game five on Thursday. Rookie sensation Stephen Piscotty took Jason Hammel deep for his second post season home run.
The Cubs answered right back to take a 4-2 lead with four runs in the bottom of the second highlighted by a three run home run off the bat of Javier Baez.
The Cardinals tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the sixth on an RBI double from Tony Cruz and RBI single from Brandon Moss.
In the bottom half of the inning, Anthony Rizzo hit one of the biggest home runs of his career as he launched a line drive over th right field fence to put the Cubs up 5-4. Then in the seventh, rookie Kyle Schwarber an exclamation point on the night as he hit his second home run in the postseason.
The Cubs bullpen combined to shut down the Cards and in the ninth closer Hector Rondon worked around a two out single and struck out Piscotty to end the game and send the Cubs to the National League Championship Series.
