I believe the 2016 season will be about the amazing journey of Trevor Story and his transformation into a super star.
On Wednesday night, the Rockies rookie shortstop became the first player to hit a home run in his first three career games.
The blast came in his first at bat as he launched 1-0 count over the left center field fence to give the Rockies an early 2-0 lead in the first. The record breaking home run was his fourth on the season, which ties him with the Mariners Robinson Cano for the MLB lead.

For some, making your Major League debut on Opening Day may be a bit nerve wracking, for the Colorado Rockies’ young shortstop Trevor Story it was just any other day.
On Monday night at Chase Field, the twenty-three year-old Story hit two homeruns in his Rockies’ debut, not only that, they were off of the Arizona Diamondbacks’ newly acquired Ace Zack Greinke as the Rockies went on to earn the 10-5 win.
Story’s first homer of the night was a three run shot to right field in the top of the third. In the top of the fourth, Story walked back up to the plate and hit a solo homerun, this time to left field off of Greinke.
Trevor Story became the first player in Major League Baseball history to hit two homeruns in his Big League debut which happened to take place on Opening Day.
Story earned the shortstop job on the Opening Day roster due to the absence of veteran Jose Reyes who is on a paid leave of absence as he deals with legal issues from an offseason arrest.
The Texas native was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 45th Round of the 2011 MLB Draft while playing at Irving High School.
