One of the most anticipated international signings is finally over, as Japanese two-way player, Shohei Ohtani has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Angels.

Statement from Nez Balelo, the Japanese Phenom’s agent:

“What mattered to him most wasn’t market size, time zone or league but that he felt a true bond with the Angels. He sees this as the best environment to develop and reach the next level and attain his career goals.”

The Angels have yet to make a comment or confirm the news.

Over the weekend, Ohtani had narrowed down his teams to the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Angels, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs.

But he chose the Angels over the rest and now the anticipation will grow even more up until the day he actually steps onto a major league field and shows the Halo fans and all the world, if the Two-Way Player will dominate from both sides of the diamond, on the mound and at the plate.
