On Sunday, the New York Yankees added another plaque to their Monument Park at Yankee Stadium, as they retired Bernie Williams #51.
Williams played his entire 16 year career with the Yankees compiling 2,336 hits, 1,257 RBI, .297 AVG, five all star appearances, four Gold Gloves, a silver slugger award and a batting title in 1998.
Along with his great numbers, Williams is a four-time World Series Champion and helped lead the Yankees domination in the late ’90’s, along with the four core, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada.
