Now that the 2016 MLB season is officially over, the annual Baseball Writers’ Association of America Award finalists were announced on Monday evening. With an epic season of baseball in the books, there has been a lot of speculation and discussion as to who would claim the coveted awards. Even with a list of finalists announced, it is still hard to decide who will take home the trophies.

The American League Rookie of the Year Award looks to be a toss up as Michael Fulmer of the Tigers and the Yankees’ Gary Sanchez were all the talk at the end of the season.But, with the Indians’ Tyler Naquin the third finalist and the rookie campaign he put together, this truly could be anyone’s award.
Another note to make is that Dodgers’ rookie Corey Seager is nominated for both the NL Rookie of the Year and NL MVP.
The winners of these awards will be announced next week on the following days at 6:00pm EST on MLB Network:
