2024 MLB Futures Game Rosters Released

The MLB released the 2024 Futures Game rosters for both the American and National Leagues.  The game will feature the top Minor League Prospects in a seven inning contest during the MLB All Star Saturday, on July 13th.

New to the Futures Game will be a Futures Skills Showcase, which will have eight participants, four from each league, compete in three rounds of hitting events, Hit it Here, Call Your Shot, and Swing for the Fences.

In Hit it Here, the players will have 10 swings to earn points hitting targets, either on a fly or on a bounce and also will earn points by landing the ball on a bunt target closer to home plate.

With Call Your Shot, players will be taking 10 swings to left, center and right, and can initially pick any field to hit the ball to. Once all three fields are hit, then the player can call his shot to any field with remaining swings.

In Swing for the Fences, points will be calculated based on how they hit the ball. If they pull the ball over the fence or go straight to center field, they will receive six points, and 12 points for opposite field home runs. Any back to back jacks, six additional points will be given, and every time a player hits more than two in a row, they will get a six point bonus.
