2025 International Baseball Signing

Bahamian #12 MLB International Top Prospect Ayden Johnson, Signs with the Athletics.

2025 International Baseball Signing saw four players from the Islands of the Bahamas signing.

Every year since 2015, baseball fans from the Bahamas have looked forward to seeing which baseball prospects would get signed.

With that said, the 2025 MLB Top International Prospect Rankings had Ayden at #12, so we knew he was on the way. On his many visits at home, he would always visit us at the Farm or the baseball nationals to hang out with the players he grew up with. Ayden and his elder brother Paris were always fun to be around.

2025 International Baseball Signing:

Signing out of Fortuna Training Facility (FTF) led by trainer Jose Fortuna. Ayden spent about four years working out with Jose Fortuna.

Ayden fell in love with baseball while playing in the Freedom Farm Baseball League; He was a very talented player.

Following the footsteps of his elder brother, Paris Johnson, who signed with the Dodgers three years ago, Ayden is looking for success at the next level.

Ayden Johnson has been assigned to the (DSL) Athletics to start his new baseball career. Before his friends and family, Johnson was signed by Director of International Scouting for the Oakland Athletics Steve Sharpe in Nassau, Bahamas. All the best to you, Ayden Johnson.

Hard Work & Dedication:

Hard work and dedication finally paid off for Ayden Johnson. He was always a player every coach would love playing on their team; we saw his focus.

We heard of his progress and how he was turning heads on the International Radar with his baseball talent.

Now to Reality:

The real test of his baseball talent is about to begin; we can’t wait to follow him on this journey. Like the many young players before him, staying focused on the game is key.

He will play against many of his local teammates, who will show him their support.

In Part Two:

In part two of this post, I will introduce you to the other four of our 2025 International Baseball Signee. Well, I know they will be looking forward to playing against each other like in the days in the Coach pitch and 9-10 Divisions. I am so excited for our kids.

Jeffrey was born on April 29th, 1961, in Nassau, Bahamas to Rejoiner Ann Rolle and Jerome James Francis Etienne. Married to Andrea G. Rolle-Francis, they have two daughters; Janae Latoya Francis, a graduate of Allegany College of Maryland, and Jessica Lee Francis a graduate Potomac State College West Virginia University in Kyser West Virginia. Jeffrey was coaching the sport of baseball from 1980 at the age of 18 years old because he loved the sport as a kid. He started listening to the game over the radio out of Miami Florida in the late 60s and in the early 70s started playing the game locally in various local leagues right up to the premier senior league; a league where all of the current Bahamian minor leaguers played. In 1982, Jeffrey had an invite to a three day tryout with the New York Yankees in Hollywood Florida, which was an awesome experience that is lasting a life time memory for him. Jeffrey has been following the Bahamian baseball players in the minor leagues since 1999 with Angelo Burrows, but found greater interest with the signing of Antoan Richardson in 2005. He also writes a year end review on their play on his Facebook page, Baseball Bahamas, and he has a website with the same name. He has a great following and would love to expose the baseball players to a bigger worldwide audience. He has a good relationship with all the players because he personally coached most of them. His favorite MLB Team is the Detroit Tigers from 1969.
