The St. Lucie Mets entered their four-game series with the Daytona Tortugas after losing two straight games, and have turned their week around and head into Sunday looking for a 4-game sweep.
The win streak started on Thursday after they defeated the Tortugas 4-1. Then on Friday, they played comeback baseball again, this time down 2-0 through 5.5 innings, and scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth and one in the eighth to pull away for a 4-2 victory.
On Saturday, once again down early for the third straight game, the Mets battled back with single runs in the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings, added two in the seventh and one more in the eighth to earn a 6-1 win and set themselves up for a possible 4-game sweep on Sunday.
All Star pitcher Tony Dibrell came in relief of starter Yeizo Campos, and earned his seventh win on the season, tossing 4.2 innings, four hits, one run, a walk and six strikeouts.
Both teams will match up again on Sunday with a 12:00 PM start.
