According to MLB Network, outfielder Austin Jackson has agreed to a one year deal with the Chicago White Sox; the deal is said to be worth $5 million.

The twenty-nine year old ended the 2015 season in Chicago, but with the Cubs who acquired Jackson in late August from the Seattle Mariners. He hit a combined .267 along with nine homeruns, 48 RBIs and seventeen stolen bases altogether last season.

The White Sox look to be a good fit for Jackson as he enters his seventh Major League season as it looks as if he will spend most of his time at center field.

Jackson was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 8th round of the 2005 MLB Draft while playing in high school in his hometown of Denton, Texas. The Yankees traded Jackson to the Detroit Tigers in December 2009. In July 2014 as part of  the David Price trade, the Tigers traded Jackson to the Seattle Mariners.
