Jason Lawrence

Jason “Jay” Lawrence is an author, sports entrepreneur, community advocate, and lifelong sports leader from Cape Coral, Florida. A quadriplegic since a 1996 automobile accident, Jay has spent nearly three decades turning adversity into purpose. Before his injury, he was the MVP of the 1994 Cape Coral Seahawks District Championship baseball team and was later inducted into the inaugural class of the Cape Coral High School Sports Hall of Fame. Jay owned and operated the Florida Stingrays adult semi-professional football team for 15 years, building one of Florida's most successful programs while making a lasting impact through charitable work supporting foster children, Toys for Tots, and underserved communities. He is also the author of Why Jesus? and In the Eye of Ian, sharing lessons of faith, perseverance, and leadership. At Legends On Deck, Jay covers football, flag football, combat sports—including the UFC—and the business of sports, bringing decades of experience as an athlete, team owner, and sports entrepreneur.
