Former Baltimore Orioles LHP Wei-Yin Chen ‘s free agency journey has been filled with speculation of which team he would land with.

Now, all of the guessing is officially over as the thirty year-old signed a five year deal with the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. The deal is worth $80 million with an option for a sixth season and he has the ability to opt out after the second season with the team.

Although he spent the last four seasons with the Baltimore Orioles, 2014 proved to be his strongest as he went 16-6 with a 3.54 ERA. The 2015 season was a bit of a let down after that past dominant season as the lefty went 11-8 with a 3.34 ERA as the O’s failed to make a postseason appearance.

The Marlins will use Chen as the second starter in the rotation with the ace  Jose Fernandez as the number one starter.
