First the Chicago Cubs defeat the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2015 NLDS, then they land 37-year old fee agent, John Lackey, who pitched for the Cardinals from 2014-2015, finishing this past season 13-10, with a 2.77 ERA this past season.
Lackey and the Cubs agreed to a 2-year deal, worth $32 million dollars.
Lackey will be entering his 14th big league year and he comes with World Series experience, after winning in 2002 with the Anaheim Angels and 2013 with the Boston Red Sox. A good pick up for the surging Cubbies.
