Day one of my exclusive Legends on Deck Grapefruit League Spring Training journey landed me in Jupiter, Florida, with the weather cooperating at a near 70 degrees.
The main field, named Roger Dean Stadium, is located in between the spring training fields shared by the St Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins. This beautiful facility is nestled in the heart of an up-scale college community, near Florida Atlantic University. There are plenty of shops and restaurants conveniently located within walking distance of all training fields. Both field locations are fan friendly offering interaction with the players and many autograph opportunities. However, there are other fields at both locations that are not accessible to the public and provide a limited view of the players.
There are fan shops that are located at the Roger Dean Stadium, are open during training camps, parking is also free and convenient. At the conclusion of the camps I did notice fans lined up at the player parking areas, and to my surprise they obtained autographs as the ball players left the complex. Overall the experience was delightful for the diehard fans and there families.
