On this episode of the Legends on Deck Podcast, we sit down with Darrell “DK” Taylor, Founder and CEO of The Xperience Central Florida Youth Sports and Director of National Team Development for USA Football.
DK’s journey in sports has taken him from the NFL to building one of Central Florida’s most recognizable youth sports programs. After working in player development with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns, DK brought his experience back to the Orlando area, where he built BNA Sports into an innovative youth flag football and basketball organization.
Following the sale of BNA’s tournament operations, DK has entered the next chapter of that journey, rebranding his local leagues as The Xperience. The mission remains the same: creating an outstanding community-based sports experience focused on development, competition, and opportunities for young athletes and their families.
We talk with DK about his career path, the evolution of BNA into The Xperience, what goes into building a successful youth sports program, and the incredible growth of flag football across the country.
We also look ahead to the sport’s biggest stage, the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, and discuss DK’s role with USA Football and the process of identifying and developing athletes for the US National Team.
