Florida State League: Bradenton Marauders Remain Undefeated

The 2016 Florida State League championship ended with Pittsburgh Pirates Class-A Advanced affiliate, the Bradenton Marauders winning their first ever FSL title and this season they look like they are on a mission to repeat.
Over their first seven games, they have played the Clearwater Threshers and the St. Lucie Mets and have swept both series while remaining undefeated at 7-0
The games have been close, as the largest margin of victory was a 5-0 shutout of the Threshers on April 9th.
Against the Mets, they had to battle in come-back fashion win the first game 6-4. Then in game three, both teams played until the 14th inning, with the Marauders scoring two in the top of the frame stealing one from St. Lucie. On Wednesday, Bradenton’s pitching staff shut down the Mets offense, allowing just one run in six hits, as they won 4-1.
The Marauders open up a four game series against the Tampa Yankees (4-3), starting with a doubleheader on Thursday at 5:00 PM, as they look to continue their winning ways.
