Legends on Deck was on-hand live as the Fort Myers Miracle took on the Jupiter Hammerheads at Hammond Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Miracle entered the game against the Hammerheads looking for a split of their four game home and home series, but came up short losing 3-2.

Miracle starter Keaton Steele retired the first 10 Hammerhead batters he faced, before giving up a one out single to the Top Prospect Stone Garrett. After Angel Reyes hit a line drive single to center field, Steele induced a ground ball double play off the bat of Dustin Geiger to end the inning.

Hammerheads starter Felipe Gonzalez, worked in and out of trouble the first three innings, before finding a groove retiring eight straight batter before being lifted for a relief pitcher in the bottom of the sixth.

The Hammerheads broke through and scored two runs in the top of the fifth highlighted by a bases loaded walk to Brian Schales and and RBI ground out off the bat of Zach Sullivan.

The Miracle battled back with a run in the bottom of the seventh to pull within one run when Brian Navarreto scored ahead of a single Daniel Kihle.

But the Hammerheads added an insurance run in the top of the ninth on a sac fly off the bat Top Prospect Roy Morales, scoring Geiger with the third run of the game.

The Miracle put together one last rally, pulling within a run in their half of the frame, when Rafael P Valera scored after a single from Sean Miller. But Jupiter relief pitcher Steven Farnworth got Nelson Molina to ground out to first base, ending the game, as the Hammerheads come away with a 3-1 series win.

Both teams are at it again on Monday, as the Miracle travel to Tampa to take on the Yankees, and Jupiter will be hosting the Daytona Tortugas on their home turf.
