World Series Game 4 Preview: Royals At Mets
The Kansas City Royals had a 2-0 series lead before Friday’s Game 3 but, Noah Syndergaard and the New York Mets had something to say about that as they took the 9-3 victory to make the series 2-1.
History says that the team who is winning the series after three games is just 42-43 to become the World Series winner. The Royals have also been in this position before, in 2014 when they had a 2-1 series lead over the San Francisco Giants before losing Game 7.
So in Game 4 the Mets will have to pick up where Synderggard left off on the mound and the Royals will have to figure yet another Mets rookie pitcher.
Game 4:
When & Where: Saturday, October 31st, 2015 at 8:00pm at Citi Field
The Starters:
- RHP Chris Young has already seen some action this series against the Mets pitching in relief in Game 1. This time Young will take the start in Game 4 for the Royals; in his Game 1 outing he earned the win after pitching three innings of no run baseball.
- LHP Steven Matz will take the start for the New York Mets in Game 4 and like the majority of the Mets’ pitching staff, has never faced the Kansas City Royals in his career. In his last outing against the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS, he was solid at points but wasn’t able to get a complete five inning outing. The Mets will need him to make his mark as they try and even up the series.
