Game Of The Week: Snow Postpones Yankees/Tigers’ Series Finale
- Updated: April 10, 2016
The series finale between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers that was scheduled to take place on Sunday night at Comerica Park, has been postponed due to inclement weather; most specifically inches of snow. At this time a makeup game hasn’t been selected due to both team’s regular season schedules, once a decision is made, fans will be notified.
With just one week of baseball complete, weather has played a constant factor in the disruption of many games. This is the second time the Yankees have been postponed for inclement weather, their homer Opener last Monday against the Houston Astros was postponed and moved to an already scheduled off day on Tuesday. The Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals are all home teams that have had to reschedule games this week as well.
Up Next:
The New York Yankees will have an off day on Monday and will now travel to the Rogers Centre to start a series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night.
The Tigers will host the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday afternoon at 1:10pm at Comerica Park.
**Due to the postponed game, pitching matchups haven’t been finalized for this week.
