Griffey And Piazza Get Call To Join Hall Legends

With 32 potential candidates waiting for their opportunity to join baseball Legends in the Hall of Fame, the Baseball Writers Association of America voted and two were honored with the coveted call. Ken Griffey Jr and Mike Piazza will be the 2016 inductees into the Hall.

Griffey received 99.3% of the vote, which is the highest of all time, passing Tom Seaver, who set the record in 1992 with 98.84 percent.  The Kid was chosen on 437 of the 440 ballots.

As for Piazza, this was his fourth season on the ballot, and he received 83% amounting to being named on 365 ballots.
