In this installment of Interviews On Deck, we are happy to have on Brock Selvidge, the Yankees #29th-ranked prospect in the organization and the 3rd Round pick for the club in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Selvidge, who is currently in his third season, and second full with the Yankees, sits with the Tampa Tarpons in the Single-A Florida State League and should be on the list of players to get their call to Hudson Valley at some point this year from Tampa.
In 20 games as a pro for the Yanks, Selvidge has a 3.32 ERA in 17 starts and 76 innings pitched. He has also only allowed 3 homers in his entire pro career and has held hitters to a .234 batting average.
In the interview, we talk to Selvidge about how he is feeling so far through the early part of the 2023 season, the transitioning from high school to the pros and what his pre-start routine is like.
