In this first installment of Interviews on Deck, we are joined by Ocean Gabonia, a right-handed pitcher from Hilo, Hawaii.

Gabonia, a 2020 undrafted free agent out of Everett Community College, is coming into 2023 and playing his first full season of minor league baseball.

Over the past two seasons, Gabonia has been in rookie ball, playing in the Florida Complex League with the FCL Yankees, where he finished with sub-4.00 ERAs in each of his first two seasons, even finishing the 2021 season with a sub-2.00 ERA.
