It’s A Shame! Another Season Lost For Mike Trout
Mike Trout has been one of the greatest outfielders the game of baseball has seen over the past decade, but injuries have robbed him of putting up even bigger numbers.
Since the 2021 MLB season, the Los Angeles Angels star centerfielder has been marred with various injuries keeping him off the field for numerous games at a time.
In 2021, Trout went down with a right calf strain on May 18th that ended his season with only having played 36 games. He rebounded in 2022, starting the season with the team, played in just 119 games because of a back injury, but still managed to put up monster numbers. That season he hit 28 doubles, two triples, 40 home runs and drove in 80 batters.
Last season Trout started the year once again in game one of the season and by July 3rd he was out again with a left hamate fracture and then after returning to action on August 22nd, he was out again for the rest of the season. In 2023, Trout appeared in 82 games, batting .220, with a double, two triples, 10 home runs and 14 RBIs.
The 2024 season was one that Trout looked to be a healthy one for him, but on April 30th, after just 29 games, he went back out on the DL with a left knee meniscus tear.
On Thursday, Trout wrote in an X post that after an MRI, it showed a tear in meniscus that would require additional surgery.

Where does Trout go from here? Well at just 32 years old, he has a chance to get healthy again and play out the remainder of his career, but that is unknown if he will be fully healthy again.
