Kris Bryant Strikes Again With The Long Ball
Cubs #1 Prospect proving he belongs on the Opening Day Roster.
The Chicago Cubs are building towards finally winning a World Series Championship since 1908, even building their farm system as one of the best in baseball and one of their prized possessions is finally ready to shine.
Kris Bryant, the Cubs #1 Top Prospect, launched two home runs in yesterday’s spring game to give him six so far this spring.
Bryant, who didn’t start the game, pinch hit for Anthony Rizzo in the bottom of the third inning and launched an opposite field two-run shot to right to put the Cubs up 2-0 on the A’s.
In his second at bat, the 23-year old who hit 43 home runs between Double-A and Triple-A in 2014, hit his second homer of the game, on a 2-2 count over the left center field wall. He finished 2-2, with two home runs and three RBI’s and is now batting .450, (9 for 20), with six home runs, and nine RBI’s in just eight games.
Bryant has been getting praise all over baseball as one that should definitely be on the Cubs Opening Day roster, especially if they are serious about contending in 2015.
Bryce Harper, the Washington Nationals all-star outfielder, thinks there is no doubt where Bryant should start the season.
If @KrisBryant_23 doesn’t make the big league team out of camp, then that’s a joke! I see you doin your thing brotha! #VegasMade #TheTruth

Based on what Bryant has shown so far this spring, there isn’t much doubt that he belongs in the majors, but will the Cubs make the decision to award him the third base job, or send him back to the minors, where there isn’t much else for him to prove.
Is Bryant the key to a championship season? So far he has proven that he can be.
