See numbers 7-2 below.

7. Corey Seager, SS

Team: Dodgers

Age: 20

Height: 6’4

Weight: 215

Bats/Throws: Left/Right

Seager, the 18th overall pick in 2012,  broke out in a big way in 2014 while playing in High-A and Double-A. Between the two, Corey hit 20 homeruns, laced 50 doubles and hit .349 with a .402 OBP in 118 games.

At the dish Seager is an advanced hitter for his age, showing the ability to hit the ball hard to all fields and showing excellent plate coverage. He generates good power from his big frame and could approach 30 homeruns in his prime. His approach could use some fine tuning, as his excellent plate coverage sometimes leads to over-aggressiveness. Defensively he’s shown to be solid at short, but his range is somewhat limited and he may be moved to third as he fills out further. Could be a very good defensive third basemen.

Outlook: The North Carolina native could develop into an all-around contributor on the offensive side as well as a steady defender at third. Perennial All-Star profile.

Risk: Low, held his own in AA at 20. No real red flags in his scouting report.

ETA: 2016
