LOD Podcast, Episode 29: On the World Stage with Randy Fontanez
In the spirit of the World Baseball Classic, Brian and David sat down with Randy Fontanez who pitched for Team Puerto Rico in the 2013 WBC. Randy is a product of Oviedo High School (Orlando, FL) and the University of South Florida. Drafted by the Mets in 2011, Randy would go on to play five seasons in Minor League Baseball from Low-A to Triple A. He also played winter ball in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
Today, Randy runs his own real estate related businesses in the Orlando area and continues to instruct young players in the game of baseball. In this interview, Randy provides the listeners with wonderfully detailed accounts of his experiences and the ups and downs of playing baseball at a high level.
