Emily Kirby has been playing competitive softball for as long as she can remember. From 8U travel ball in North Carolina to the spotlight of Division 1 athletics. She capped off her college career at Liberty University with back to back Atlantic Sun Pitcher of the Year awards (2021-22). Emily finished at Liberty with a 35-17 overall record, 2.73 ERA, a .215 opponents batting average and 16 career shutouts.
She didn’t quite realize there was an opportunity to continue to play at professional level until she got that call from Ryan Moore of the Florida Vibe. Emily tells the story of her softball career and how her faith has given her the mental and spiritual guidance to persevere. She currently serves as a volunteer assistant coach at Liberty and will be playing her second season with the Florida Vibe.
