LOD Podcast, Episode 39: A Baseball Dream Keeps Growing in Iowa with Noah Cardenas

Is this Heaven?  No it’s Iowa.  That famous line from Field of Dreams means a lot more to Southern California kid, Noah Cardenas.  Noah is a catcher for the Cedar Rapids Kernels (Midwest League), of the Minnesota Twins system.  Growing up in Southern California, Noah began his high school career undersized.  Through hard work (and the help of a growth spurt), he was able to garner the attention of the UCLA Bruins later in his high school career.  He would go on to play three years for UCLA prior to being drafted by the Twins in 2021.

Noah continues to steadily climb the ranks of the Twins farm system, first in the Florida Complex League (2021) and with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels in 2022.  This season, Cardenas has reached High-A with the Kernels.
