Malik Barrington is a pitcher with the Minnesota Twins organization, playing his 2023 season with the Midwest League Champion Cedar Rapids Kernels. He is a native of Jacksonville (FL) and played college baseball at both Tallahassee Community College and Albany State University. Barrington signed a minor league contract with the Twins in 2021, after catching the eye of scouts while playing in the United Shore Professional Baseball League.
Brian and David connected with Malik to discuss his baseball journey from playing year-round baseball with his cousins in Jacksonville, to chasing his MLB dreams with the Twins. Along the way, he’s worked hard to make it to the next level, formed bonds with teammates and has maintained his love for the game.
